Competency Based
Qualifications
ICM Competency Based Qualifications are designed for learners who wish to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and competence in a specific vocational area. These qualifications are delivered through ICM Approved Centres and are assessed through practical observation, professional discussion, assignment work and portfolio of evidence, allowing learners to demonstrate their competence in real or simulated work environments.
Centres wishing to deliver ICM Competency Based Qualifications must apply for and receive centre approval from ICM. Approval ensures that the centre meets the required standards for delivery, assessment and quality assurance. Once approved, centres can offer these qualifications to learners who benefit from a practical, competency-focused approach to learning and assessment.
